Epcot's Next Chapter: 30 Years of Discovery - show notes for episode 130
Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 2:32PM
This week we complete our 30 Years of Discovery Series with our last installment, Epcot's Second Chapter looking at the changing vision of the Epcot, literally changing the name of the theme park from EPCOT Center, to Epcot 94, to Epcot 95 to just Epcot.
In our assessment Epcot has transformed from a park that is centered around science and technology to a park that is used to celebrate anniversaries and events.
We discuss this changing theme, the changes to attractions and remember the Millennium Celebration.
Enjoy

wow you guys, this was such a great series i hate to see it end!! You really must have put a lot of work into it and i for one really think it was awesome!!!
Fantastic job as always!!!
Thanks Dan! It was a lot of fun to put together.
Great job! I really enjoyed listeing to the series and it brought back many memories from childhood vacations. It's funny to look back at the senario of not liking World Showcase as a child and now it's one of my favorite spots. We could have gone on Horizons over and over, but don't even think of making us step foot in those countries back there! Anyway you guys are my new favorite Disney podcast. Keep up the awesome work!
First off, excellent series guys. (Just finally got caught up to this point in the podcasts)
I love hearing Epcot discussed and you guys did a great job through this series.
But Nate...you broke my heart in this episode when you dissed the Tapestry of Nations/Dreams parade.
Of all the things that have disappeared from Disney Parks over time, this parade is one of the things I most sorely miss.
Keep up the great work!!
Thanks John :). I guess we all have our favorites. Ina ll fairness, the parade did last a lot longer than they had originally planned and the music is very good. I just couldn't stand the puppets, or the way that it clogged up the promenade.
