The Metro Retro Historical Society meeting #1: Future World - show notes for episode 100

The meeting of the Metro Retro Historical Society will come to order!

For our 100th episode of WEDWay Radio we thought we'd do something special.  To celebrate the occasion we decided to move forward on an idea we began last Spring; a gathering of Disney historians for a discussion of issues, events and era's within the lexicon of Disney history.

This week we are happy to be joined by an old friend, Michael Crawford of Progress City USA and George Taylor of Imaginerding to help us conduct our first meeting of the Metro Retro Historical Society.  The subject of tonight is Epcot's Future World, and on this episode we take a look at a number of topics surrounding the subject including:

  • The vision of Future World
  • How much of the Future World derives from Walts Epcot from 1966.
  • The implementation of the pavilions of Future World
  • The changes to each pavilion of Future World

Enjoy this show because it was a lot of fun to create.  We hope to create more Metro Retro Historical Society meetings in the future.  Let us know what you think, and what subjects you'd like us to tackle.

This week are also happy to present another contest sponsored by MEI and Mousefan Travel.  Listen through the show to find out how to enter to win.
